How to predict the sex
of your first baby
Over forty years ago I was told one way to predict the sex of your first baby was to count the vowels (a e i o u) in you and your partners name as they appear on your birth certificates.
Numerologists also say the Y in a name is always a vowel except when:- the Y follows a vowel (as in ay, ey, iy, oy, uy), in which case the Y becomes a consonant. - the Y is the first letter of a name and the second letter is a vowel (as in ye, ya, yu, yo, or yi), in which case the Y also becomes a consonant.
It is said that you then count the number of vowels in both names and if there is an even number you can expect a boy and if it is an odd number a girl.
Another way I have since read is to add your age to the month you have conceived and if it is again an even number it will be a boy and odd for a girl -
The first method was right for me but not the second - Please bear in mind this is for fun and there are no guarantees.
