Rainbow Blessings
Wishing you a rainbow for sunlight after showers—
Miles and miles of Irish smiles for golden happy hours—
Shamrocks at your doorway for luck and laughter too
And a host of friends that never ends each day your whole life through
May you have all the happiness and luck that life can hold
And at the end of all your rainbows may you find a pot of gold

May there always be work for your hands to do
May your purse always hold a coin or two
May the sun always shine on your window pane
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain
May the hand of a friend always be near you
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you

If I could catch a rainbow I would do it just for you
And share with you its beauty on the days you're feeling blue
If I could build a mountain you could call your very own
A place to find serenity, a place to be alone
If I could take your troubles I would toss them in the sea.
But all these things I'm finding are impossible for me
I cannot build a mountain or catch a rainbow fair
But let me be what I know best
